Boy Scouts Offering 'Video Game' Merit Awards - AOL News

So the Boys Scouts finally caught up to the modern world. They are offering a video game belt loop and pin. Granted those are actually for Cub Scouts and it would be nice to see the older Scouts having to learn some of this since they seem to be the ones that are always gaming but it's a step. People are, of course, making fun of the idea but looking over what they have to do to earn the belt loop first, it's not a bad idea. If the parents aren't lazy, it can teach them moderation and responsibility.

It's a step in the right direction.

Infinity Ward Exodus Continues -- Three More Leave Studio, Two Join Respawn

Infinity Ward Exodus Continues -- Three More Leave Studio, Two Join Respawn

FINALLY!

Dr. Pepper and EA finally got on the same page and posted the Battlefield Bad Company 2 DLC on the Dr. Pepper site. I downloaded my 4 and the husband's 4. I haven't had the chance to check it out yet though I did peek at the guns and the camo is kind of cool. There are 4 new achievements attached to this DLC.

I haven't been playing at all really. This pregnancy is nearing the end and I am having a variety of pains and issues. I did get on and try playing Modern Warfare 2 last night. The husband and some friends were begging. I didn't do too bad but the spawns still tick me off. While waiting for them to end their match, I jumped into a match. The team I was put with was losing, it was on a new map and I was spawned 5 times in row, outside, to be killed by the copter. I never even got to move. *sigh*

Battlefield Bad Company 2 DLC

I just read that DICE finally worked out the issues with the Dr. Pepper DLC codes and the new DLC will be available tomorrow. However, European and UK players will have to purchase DLC through PS3/Xbox marketplaces. The Dr. Pepper codes are strictly US only.

Finally going to be able to do something with these Dr. Pepper caps I have lying around...

Lego Harry Potter

Lego Harry Potter years 1-4 is now available for pre-order. I am not ashamed to say I have been waiting for this. Not because I am a Harry Potter geek or anything but because the Lego games are just so much fun. Plus they are fantastic family games. Everyone plays them here.

They have always managed to mix humor in with the story and put little amusing twists on favorite movies. I have them all except the second Lego Indiana Jones. I wasn't impressed by the demo and it seemed to be more of a redo on the first one, so I figure I'll pick up cheap and used later.

Lego Harry Potter is being released in a regular and collector's edition. I'll probably get the collector's just because it's easier for me to get in my neck of the woods. I'd have to online order the regular edition. Oh and it comes with magnets and an avatar item for the Xbox. This is being released on every system and handheld device. That I like.

Time to move to PS3

My friend sent me his copy of Heavy Rain. Guess I'll be starting that game today or tomorrow. I am pretty excited about this one. It looks awesome. I love story driven games. Keeps me from getting bored and wandering off.

I also need to play Resistance Fall of Man, Uncharted and Uncharted 2. My games had been deleted so I never finished them. I guess it's time to dust off the gaming aspect of my PS3 and quit using it for a Blu-ray/Netflix/internet tool. It is an amazing piece of hardware, honestly. It's about time I stopped ignoring it.
